Clip Hair Extensions 101: How to choose & install your clip in extensions

I love LONG hair.  I’m all about growing my hair out, but it takes SO LONG  to get my hair to a good length. I also have the issue where once my hair get to a certain length it starts to fall flat. I don’t do flat hair, OK?

I have always loved the idea of extensions.  I’m not going to lie, I’ve always been intimidated when it comes to extensions.  And I know I’m not alone.

Today, we’re going to cover choosing the right clip in extensions and installing clip in hair extensions.

First, you need to decide what purpose  you want the extensions to serve?

Do you want length?

Volume?

Or Both?

If you’re looking for volume then the you should check the Volumizing Set out!  They come in 14″, 18″, and 20 inches. They can be cut to length if your hair is shorter than 14″.

For me,  I was looking for both length and volume.  I chose the  20″- 10 piece deluxe collection in espresso from My Fantasy Hair.  This collection includes 10 pieces total: 9 double- wefted pieces for blending, and 1 Triple Weft for Volumizing the back of your hair.  These extensions are 100% human Remy hair, and come with 180 grams of hair. It’s literally like another head of hair.

Learning how to properly “install”  hair extensions is what was so intimidating to me.  After playing around with different techniques, I found what work best for me and my hair.  I put together a short video tutorial to show you how to easy is really is.

I hope this video was helpful. Come back next Tuesday and I will show you how to blend and style your clip in extensions.
