First Day of school: My 1st grade girl

Ah,  The first day of school. Don’t you wish this was the reaction you got everyday when you told your kids it’s time for school? Well, don’t get used to it! Breanna started first grade of Friday, she was super excited. I don’t think she slept at all Thursday night, because when she came home Friday she crashed, hard. In fact, Thursday she said, “Mom, I will probably be up before you and daddy” and, indeed she was. I woke up at about 5am, and there she was wide awake!

She had a really easy day, getting school supplies distributed, and preparing for the week to come. They did visit the library, and each of them chose a book to bring home which was a “new” added perk of the first grade. She ate a peanut butter and jelly for lunch when everyone else ate pizza, yum! Leave to Breanna to chose PB&J, silly girl!

She had a great day, loves her teacher, and was just as excited to go today as she was on Friday! I will keep you up dated, and maybe do video’s on what she is up to at school, so you can know what to expect.
