HOW TO DOCUMENT YOUR CHILDREN’S LIVES
HOW TO DOCUMENT YOUR CHILDREN’S LIVES
I have to admit. I’ve been lax when it comes to documenting my kids lives. Well… That’s kind of not completely the truth. I have a TON of pictures of Breanna when she was little, but I dropped the ball when it came to Abigail. Honestly, I think most second time parents do this, right?
Lately, I’ve gotten really intentional about taking more pictures of my girls. Most parents document the big moments like; school programs, the first day of school, and so on. For me, Â I’ve found the best way is to document the little moments. The ones you might forget like; playing with their friends, doing chores, eating their favorite meals.
Â
This the day I gave my girls an eye shadow palette I had that I never used, but they thought it was the best day EVER and wanted to play in makeup with their friends.  This is a great “first” experience to document.

My best friend and her husband were having a date night, and went to a concert. Their little one spent the night at our house. These kids will grow up together, so I thought this would be a great night to document.
The girls were just being silly this day!  I had to document this because Abigail is a little mommy. She is always the want to help everyone else, but doesn’t want anyone to help her! Let me know how you document your kids’ lives? What special moments do you like to capture?

I don’t have kids (yet) but I do have nephews who live halfway across the world (sorta? I’m in CA, they’re in NL Canada) and I feel like I miss out on a lot of their firsts. So I try to fly home as often as possible, and I’m lucky enough to stay home on my next visit, for about a month. Going to have a time! Hopefully they won’t mind me taking tons of pictures of them. I mean, they know me – it’s to be expected 😉

These are such sweet pictures to have! I don’t really have a schedule or anything of capturing moments – I just grab my phone or camera when a moment happens.

what great pictures,, I love the eye shadow ones. My mom has a ton of pictures of me, the oldest but much less of my younger sisters, especially the third child.

I only have one so I’ve not got this problem but if I have another I can totally see being too busy to take as many photo as I do now

I’m the oldest of four and my mom has loads of baby pictures of me and then hardly any of my youngest brother. I really hope that I can find a balance for all my kids.
