Kindergarten has come and gone…I know we have done great job!

As I sit here with tears rolling down my face, I realize how little time a school really is as a parent. One hundred and eighty days days seem like a lifetime when your anticipating the start of kindergarten. It’s one of the hardest thing you will ever do as a parent. It’s letting you baby “go” for the first of many tought “letting go’s”, you will have to encouter as a parent.

 When children go to school it’s the start of other’s influencing your child. And it’s scary becasue you have spent so many hours building and molding your child into a good, kind, thoughtful person, and when they go off into this big world others can sometime’s change the way that they think. My daughter has experienced some things in kindergarten that I would have never expected. But the day’s she come’s home and tells me about a kid in her class bullying her or someone else, and she knows what to do, and that its not ok. Thats lets me know that her daddy and I have done a great job thus far.

So, as I sit here feeling proud of the job we have done. I know that form this point on my job is only going to get harder. But, I know that we are up for the challenge of letting our children go into this big world, and trusting the job we have done as parents, and know our children will hopefully chose to do what’s right.
