But, I really try to take the time about once every 4 to 6 months to go through and pitch what’s no longer good. So, I’m going to give the telltale signs of good products gone bad. Today, I’m sharing When to Pitch Old Cosmetics.
Does the product smell sour?
Or just off?
Is the product yellow or brown?
The formula separation
If you see a top layer of liquid on you product pitch it!
(With the exception of nail polish)
Keep it or toss it
Foundation: Up to two years
Lip products: two years
Mascara: three months
Face powder or blush: two years
Nail Polish: One year
Anti-aging or acne treatments: three months to a year

Store fragrance and cosmetics away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
Make sure to close bottles tightly to slow the oxidation process
Store your nail polish in the refrigerator
