My Breakfast Smoothie

Seriously, I’m so happy the holidays are over. The decorations are down… But not up yet, but hey their down. My house looks so bare, but I like the simplicity.

The kids returned to school today after being home for THREE weeks. We had a huge snow storm followed by freakishly frigged temp forcing schools to be cancelled for four days. I’m sad:) I’m going to miss my little girlfriends.

I don’t know about y’all, but after the holidays I just feel blah. With  all the food and sweets, I just feel like I need some fresh fruits and veggies in my life. I’m not typically a breakfast eater, so  normally I will just skip it all together. I know, it’s bad.

I’m not a someone who makes new year resolutions because I always break them by day 5. This year I’ve decided to start setting small goals. I’ve been really making an effort to get up and make my famous breakfast smoothie everyday. If you follow me on Instagram (If not, you totally should… Click here) you may have seen the picture I posted on it yesterday of this delicious smoothie. I’m promised the recipe for it today, so let tell you how I make this beauty!

(Please don’t mind my counter… It’s a hot mess)

Add these ingredients into a blender. I use the Magic Bullet!

1 small banana

1/4 cup of Kefir

1/4 cup of frozen berries

1 TBS of agave nectur

1/4 cup of rolled oats (uncooked)

Hand full of spinach

Combine all your ingredients into a blender, then add water to your liking (I like mine a little thinner) and blend until everything is smooth.

I LOVE this smoothie it SO good, creamy, very filling and only 370 calories!
